It is also an informative post for others to understand what is involved and why we should not pirate and share works of other artists on torrent sites due to the amount of work that is involved. ![]() This post is for beginners and it will not go into detail but it will give you an idea of the process involved to create your own 3D clothing. Yet, when the time came to submit it for approval at Renderosity, I quickly realized that many of the important steps were left undone. It was a simple dress and I thought it was not too difficult. ![]() I took me 3 months and I slowly started to get into the process of creating 3D clothing. I dug my heels into it and decided that it was now are never. Why? Because there was not a lot of information available on the Internet to guide me. Yet, the idea of creating 3D clothing was a daunting prospect. I did texture expansion sets for the 3D clothes for other artists, Iray shaders, lights, textures and many more. I must admit, it was one of the things that I dreaded the most to learn. I'd really appreciate any tips/suggestions/insight on what I might be doing wrong and how to properly rig custom meshes within the DAZ Studio.People often ask me what the process is to create 3D clothing. And I've tried a number of different things (mostly guess work) to no avail. It's as if the center of the custom cloth is way above the center of the base figure. So, I selected "shirt" as the Projection Template as well as the Content Type. In this particular case, my custom cloth is a tank top. Use the Transfer Utility (Settings are shown in the attachment)Īs soon as Step 5 is done, I see the custom cloth being placed well above the base figure. ![]()
